PETRA/Plasma Torch's goals are to sustainably expand the role of plasma, the fourth state of matter, in applications already utilizing plasma's properties as well as to develop novel uses. Currently, we are dedicated to apply plasma to the titanium refining industry. We believe that this is an ideal and undeveloped use of plasma, which has the potential to improve the cost, yield rate, and energy efficiency in the industry that produces this scarce but vital resource. We are excited to announce that we have completed our first draft of CAD models of our torch design and are currently building a prototype for testing. Check back later to see our progress!
