Plasma Torch

Plasma Torch's goals are to sustainably expand the role of plasma, the fourth state of matter, in applications already utilizing plasma's properties as well as to develop novel uses. This semester we are dedicated to creating a sterilizing plasma torch that is as or more effective than existing chemical sanitation methods. Plasma used in this application would also be safer to touch and less volatile than chemical sanitation, making it ideal for medical use. We are excited to announce that we have completed the CAD models of our sanitation torch design and are currently building a prototype for testing. Check back later to see our progress!
