Foldable Electric Skateboard

Our team was inspired to redesign an electric skateboard that provides a smooth ride and compact frame for tight spaces. While personal electric vehicles are used by many on college campuses and in urban environments, their large size and preference for indoor storage limits who's able to enjoy them. To solve this, we attached an electric motor kit to a longboard and created our own handle and latching system that was sturdy when riding and foldable after dismounting. The finished prototype was able to be comfortably carried into a building and stored under a desk.
