Pull-Out Desk

Many students and others find themselves in tight living situations (100 sq ft or even smaller). The furniture available for these spaces often require a trade-off: they can either be comfortable to live in or productive to work in. To solve this issue, this team wanted to develop a foldable workstation that could expand when needed or compress when not in use. They interviewed students on Texas A&M's campus to determine what students truly cared about and what problems they faced. This resulted in a working prototype before the team discontinued this project.
