The InkRay team is testing an innovative idea for medical technology - use x-rays to find veins and arteries before surgery, not during. Today, surgeons use cameras to invasively find veins and arteries at or near the sites they plan to operate in. While this is common practice, it's also a non-trivial procedure that can damage patient tissue, ultimately leading to longer surgery and recovery times. The InkRay team hopes to bypass this process altogether by developing a method that allows veins to be temporarily visible on x-ray scans. Check back later to see our progress!
