The Sick Inc team competed in the international design competition through the German company, Sick Inc. In this competition, student teams use Sick's programmable 2D LiDAR sensor technology in an innovative and helpful way. Our team used this sensor to develop a safety system for use on heavy machinery and hope to improve workplace production and safety significantly. They began in Fall 2022 and competed in Spring 2023 after their use-case proposal was accepted.
