
This team developed a compact pneumatic arm design for Kimberly-Clark’s assembly line at their Ogden, Utah manufacturing plant. The team designed a replacement for a costly and inefficient product bagging process requiring manual labor with an automated bag tensioner for product packaging. By syncing this device with the existing bagging conveyor, Kimberly-Clark would be able to maintain higher up-time, remove consumable wear items, and further support automation integration.
