This team is seeking to bridge a vital gap present in remote connection - touch. Users today can see and hear others across the world, but it's difficult to get a sense of some things when they aren't physically with us. To solve this, the Haptic Portal team is developing a low-latency mechanical device that raises and lowers pins to mimic the shape of scanned objects.
